Hot air ballooning is an attractive, specific and aesthetic sports discipline that we do not see every day and everywhere. It is also popular in Slovenia and has a long tradition. The Pomurje region is ideal for ballooning due to its plain and suitable winds and temperatures. The European Hot Air Ballooning Championship was organized here in 1994. All previous championships are known for their excellent organization, beautiful scenery for flying and the friendliness of the locals, which is why participants are happy to return to our region.
